EY introduces domestic abuse leave

Accounting firm EY announced in January 2019 that it was introducing paid leave for victims of domestic abuse. It has also issued a guide on the subject to its 14,500 staff.

It is believed that one in four women, and one in six men, are the victims of domestic abuse at some point in their lives. Only 5% of employers have a domestic abuse policy.

The firm believes that workplace can be a safe space for those suffering domestic abuse. [19.01]
